comp pedals

Post by Johno »

Does anyone know of a comp pedal that has some sort of eq & a seperate volume boost?

I have an old Vestax comp whcih is great has bass/mid/treble controls but is a bit old now & has a fair bit of hiss so need to replace it with something similar but would like a pedal with a built in vol boost if poss.

Vestax/Vesta Fire made a bunch of cool and quirky pedals in the 80s. A Japanese company I believe and they now specialise in DJ gear, which they have always produced.

They made the MDX (Digital Delay with Modulation) which was much loved and stomped on by our very own Doog and Hurb for a while. I owned one too for a bit - it was a cool pedal. Definitely lo-fi and noisy though.

I would recommend the Dyna Comp as far as Compressors are concerned but unfortunately it doesn't have any EQ.

The visual sound Route 66 has a good comp with a tube screamer on the other half. Probably not the idea "boost" however, unless thats your thing. [not that theres anything wrong with that]

He doesn't use one anymore so they must be available for CHEAPS?

Also when I sold mine I remember selling it for a Bro Deal price, why didn't you want it?
