Not sure if anyone is interested but I just found this excellent book The songwriting secrets of The Beatles . A bit theory heavy at times but still a great insight.

i'd like to read that but i'd have to buy it, i can't read lengthy things on monitors... hurts my peepers.

I know what you mean stewart. I've already suggested it as a present for my upcoming birthday from my girls bit at £20+ on amazon it is a little expensive but I somehow think it will be worth the money

dito, i hate to read longer papers on monitors ..... its completely different when you sit in the sun and read a book 8)
