I'd say I got a good 80+ hours on it. Of course it's more of bedroom levels than anything. I'm going to keep messing with it. I'll figure it out sooner or later. Sometime I'll do a speaker replacement and change the stock tubes...someday. Haze, probably grabbing up on a DL4 this weekend.

All the hate in this thread is unwarranted and childish. The man asked a legitimate question in the proper forum.

I would love to be able to recreate some of Jonny Buckland's sounds. He's very underrated, especially here it seems.

Here's a tribute to his Viva Tele I did over Christmas.

I don't particularly rate Coldplay but I do use a C-Rex speaker in a fender amp and it's a great choice.

I don't like compression either but....it's a good speaker :D

Yea,
I've heard alot about the C-Rex, Weber 12150F, and putting in a Celestion V30.

Not sure what I'll end up going with.

Haze and avj,
Wanted to let you guys know I swapped the tubes and man did it do wonders for my DRRI. It really sounds sweet now that I've changed out the crappy chinese tubes. Very happy with that. Eventually, I'll replace the speaker with a Weber 12150F but either way the tubes were the issue and the harshness, even on the vibrato channel is gone.

Thanks!

Happy to hear you've got it worked out -- and glad I made it in before the hate. Thanks for the update.
