What kind of guitar strings do you use?
Im using, ernie ball super slinky, and i love it..
I dont think thers better out there.. But it could be just me, i dont know!
I use for electric and acoustic...
I tryed fender, dáddario, and some other guitar strings...
But Ernie ball is the best.

tried ernie ball they kept breaking, both on bass and guitar, the bronze ernie ball slinky for bass sound too warm and muffle after four rehearsals.
i use d'addario xl jazz 12's with the thing on it 'optimized for standard and drop tuning'
been using them for a pretty long time. tried flatwounds, didn't like them because i couldn't do scrapes or have weird sounds with them

by the way, i know it's about guitar but a tip for bass players who love the feel of brand new strings when they're still bright and clear but with enough body and don't want to spend a fortune on d'addario strings : fender strings. they're pretty cheap and good, well atleast for bass strings.
i always swore by fender nickelplated steel 105-50 50 instead of 45, it's better. and the nickelplated steel instead of just nickel gives it extra character
thomann only seem to stock the 105-45's though and not the 105-50's anymore, that sucks

On bass I use La Bella flats. The James Jamerson set. It's the first time I've ever had a set of strings where I've thought 'damn that's a good set of strings'. I'm really interested in trying out their guitar strings but I'm 'in between' guitars at the moment, planning on selling most and getting replacements, so I don't want to go for it quite yet. I still have the problem of not knowing which guage I like. I think for a while I've been playing with too heavy a set.
Shabba.

I use GHS think/thick 10-52s on my Batwing and Nu-Sonic (25.75" scale) and 11-56 D'addario's on my Jag and Dano.
Yeah, well, I'd actually agree with you completely were you not completely wrong. D'addario's have pretty much become the industry standard. All guitar shops I've seen restring their sample guitars with D'addarios, and they come as standard on Fenders, I believe? Not sure about Gibsons, but it wouldn't surprise me if pretty much all of the major guitar manufacturers now ship their guitars with D'addario strings.
The artist endorsee list on the back of Ernie Balls reads like a litany of embarrassment. Slash? He can hardly even play (no, really, he's a really bad guitarist in real). They snap more often than even Rotosounds.

There are a lot of people who only visit the forum once every few days. If they come to see the effects thread and seeweeping_moon wrote:blablabla...James wrote:A simple thing... give threads useful titles.
