Why, I come here and look at your picture--of teh courses.
I am too loaded with ideas to be uninspired. Try to find the right inspiration or stimulation. If not music, try comics. If not comics, find the right web site, etc. It's different every time.
As a kid I drew on my arms and my dad haetd it. What could be better than that?

Yell Like Hell
I dunno.
I suppose I don't really expect to be inspired all the time. I am able to work at my art and do things that are learned techniques without inspiration, but I don't do that very often, only when I have a deadline or if I have an idea that demands that it shows some sort of workmanship and graft
. I spend most of my time with three or four ideas knocking around my head that need thinking about. I find it easy to get excited about thinking about what I'm going to do and why. Then, when I go to actually write something, I tend to spend not much more that three or four days writing constantly, rarely sleeping or eating.
I enjoy going to the museum when I'm in a rut. I recently viewed an excellent exhibition and planned on writing a string quartet as a reply. I was going to enter the quartet into a competition for young composers. However, I got the competition deadline mixed up with the date the exhibition ended, and I didn't get an opportunity to go back to see the paintings so I didn't write the piece.
Shame, I suspect it would have been a good piece had I have written it, regardless of whether or not I entered it for the competition.

Long walks in downtown Seoul do a lot for me.
Being from quiet SoCal suburbia, the big city is an irritating place that nonetheless evokes strange ideas, especially when I randomly set the mp3 player on whatever it wants to. People watching, chilling at an old palace, window shopping at small Buddhist shops, getting high on green tea, chatting with street vendors and snack shop owners, slurping a bowl of noodles in a shop while watching 200 Japanese tourists smile their way down the street, all just 30 minutes from where I now call home. I hear all kinds of stuff with the eyes in such a frenetic place.
Staring at Impressionist art with Ravel and Debussy (especially his preludes) on is another bizarre way I get ideas clear out of left field. Blurry Monets, boring yard paintings from Camille Pissaro, I'll cap things off with some Steve Reich to jog the mind.
Naps are good food, too.

I like to get away from distractions. I love hunting, not as much for the killing, but for the quiet solitude and being out among God's creation. Musically, I often get tired of the music I have been listening to, so I like to go back to basics. There are certain artists or bands that I always go back to get me out of the rut I am in. Bands like Cream, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Hendrix, Nirvana, Santana, etc... inspire me to pickup the guitar and strive to be a better player.
