Can anyone with a keen eye confirm this for me?

Here is an original MM/DS bridge from an ebay sale i am watching

and here is one i found at GuitarTechnology

It looks to me to be a Musicmaster GUITAR bridge, not the bass bridge. Three saddles and i THINK i can see the six holes through the back but i'd like a second opinion.

bridge and guard is mine, just sent Stewart an email about not needing the pickguard, still buying the body though of course

I'm kinda hoping that those parts are actually still in stock, i guess i'll find out soon enough. i might call them later on today

This is turning out much better than i had thought. I guess i should get a hold of Rob and tell him i don't need the mustang plate and robroe

Those saddles are definitely good to go. The plate looks awful clean, but that chrome really doesn't "age" so much as it will flake. Some of my old student models have brand new looking hardware, others look like crap - but I suppose that the saddles will age quicker than the chrome plate.

That is a good deal, though.

Paypal just called me making sure someone didn't run off with ma credit card. I had to make a new acount last night to paypal the roes because they changed their policies or some shit, anyways, made a new account and i've since wired several moneys and blah blah blah

They didn't cover off ebay transactions (as in, getting your money back) until recently. Now that they do, they're probably more cautious than the used to be. (Although, I'd guess that they've always covered money lost through a hacked account).

I'm almost done with law school, and ended up talking to one of the senior managers when I was ripped off for $900 (bought a '64 Strat neck on the forums - guy never shipped nor contacted me). They said that they couldn't help me since the guy's account was empty.

They eventually DID help me, but not until after I'd gotten done talking to this supervisor (very politely) about how paypal kept a % of the money that was stolen from me in the transaction - and that I had paid a "verified member" after receiving an invoice from paypal. I mentioned that they are wide open for a big class action law suit from the thousands of paypal users who have been ripped off and not had their money recovered, to get back at a minimum the % of the fraudulent transaction which paypal pockets.

It is kind of a weak argument - although you might be able to make it work... He told me that it was for reasons along this line that they were going to start covering all transactions through "verified members." The more people use paypal, the more they are going to need to act like a major credit card company.

Sorry for the long winded story - it is somewhat relevant to why they are being more cautious now than they used to be...

Haze you are awesome, man! That will be a big help! I will gladly reimburse the shipping to you. Rob(original) is sending me a tracing for a Jag-stang body so I will need 2 or 3 of them before I am done.

Just sent an email to Greg at Guitarcheology asking to confirm that i would be recieving the bridge pictured and not some bass bridge. I'm crossing my fingers that their website is up to date and they actually still have the two items still in stock. That would be a bummer.

Just heard back from Greg at Guitarcheology. They had already shipped me the Bass bridge and will ship me the guitar bridge as soon as they get the Bass bridge i'll be sending back. Real nice guys, if you need some vintage parts definitely check them out before eBay, their prices seem to always be below the inflated eBay prices.

you crazy. brass compensated saddles are much better functionally and a quarter of the price.

i've got OG saddles lying in a drawer gathering dust because they're practically useless.

Nah - I thought about those brass saddles, but decided to go with the real deal. And, I like them well enough.

If I'm honest, this project of mine cost more than just buying an old original MM outright.

I gave up on pinching pennies with my guitar purchases and projects a long time ago... Instead, I drive a paid for 15 year old vehicle and rotate two pairs of jeans!
