Signature Guitar.

Post by Rhysyrhys »

Bit of an offshoot from the ohyeahfuzzbear's thread. But that seems to be more geared towards guitars in production.

So:

If you had a signature guitar, what would it be? Specs n' all.

Signature guitars are always uglier than their mass produced counterparts.

That said I would want a rickenbacker 330 with a thinner neck and pickups wound to sound as close to old hagstrom pickups as possible.

I didn't reply last time 'cause I felt there could be nothing seriously "me" about anything, but I've since digressed. As mentioned before in the thread that turned off Robroe off of Ric-12s (with much aplomb), the nut and headstock on my Ric 360-12 are the two things that always make it a battle every time I plug the thing in. Just for fun, I'd do a 360-12 as such:

- Toasters
- Thru-headstock tuners (rather than recessed)
- 1 5/8" nut
- Jet glo (in a thin ULTRAGLO nitrocellulose finish w/parchment plastic)

No need for a pic, but it would be close to this plus another six strings.

Word about Rickenbacker 12's.....no idea why such an awesome guitar has such a stupid headstock/tuner system. Both Danelectro and Italia got it right, why not Rickenbacker? I'll stick to my DC-12 until your "signature guitar" gets mass produced.

Depends what music I end up getting famous with. For bluesey sort of stuff I couldn't have a sig, I don't think it'd be necessary.

For metal or something else heavy, it'd be a black, mahogany Squier Jagmaster with BKP WarPigs, a Floyd Rose, Jaguar control plates, reverse matching headstock and a black and silver paisley pickguard. Oh, it'd have matte black comp stripes too.

There'd also be a seven string version.

i built my dream guitar a few years ago, it was a tele with 2 p90's a jag trem, maple neck, large headstock, maple board, 7.25 radius board, vintage frets. with a bulky neck.
now, i want a 24 scale, tele nut width super thing body, p-90s, and just a volume knob(no load style) im not really sure about body shape or anything, and i deffinitly need a jag style trem.
