Thanks fellas! I love uneven yellowing, generally speaking - I had to make sure and get that in there!
Bridge screws - I pulled one from my MM and took it to the hardware store. You need that beveled head, and the length needs to be right. The screws I got were larger in diameter than stock, but not so large as to not fit through the holes in the bridge.
Just look at 1"-ish screws which fit nicely in the bridge plate. Rounded heads with beveled head/shaft (joint?) (since the bridge plate has beveled holes).

A combination of things happened today... I was playing my '65 Jag, and thought about how much fun a Vintage Parts-Jag project would be... Then, I thought about the '64 MusicMaster shortscale neck that I have just lying around... And, I was curious as to how my rewound '66 bridge pickup would sound in the neck of this guitar. So, I put the shorty-short scale neck on this body, loved it (I forgot how comfortable that neck is, when you're outside of the hard rocking / gigging context), and am getting ready to build a Parts-Jag around that '64 Jag neck which is inbound!
TerminalVertigo - I still assure you that your old neck is going to a good home, and I'll be building a Jag around it! Considering the neck alone was 1/2 of my budget, I figure I'll put it in to a more valuable project.
All things said and done, I'm only $400 deep in this project now - $200 body, $50 paint, $80 pickguard, $70 saddles. Everything else I had lying around.

Thickarms - much appreciated! I really wasn't expecting it to come out that well, considering I have virtually no experience with finishing.
And Rob - thanks a lot! I think that most of the MM pickups from the mid 60s are wound to about 5.5k - this one was rewound by Will Boggs at WBPickups with some NOS 60s wire that he has stashed away, to about 7.8k if I recall correctly. (the pickup was totally hashed - he put new cloth covered leads on it as well) When I first strung it up last night, I had a cheap set of 9s that I found lying around in a drawer (probably 7 years old, generic Korean strings from when I was stationed over there). It sounded pretty thin with them - but they gave me enough of an idea how the neck and body worked out together that I decided to throw a set of Elixir 11s on there. That made a big tone improvement. I'm pretty happy with it. This pickup was originally a bridge pickup, too.

Hey - thanks again, guys. I love the yellowing - but thats just me.
I have all of the hardware and pickguard ordered for the Jag project. I have an eye on a body, then I need to get my guts figured out. I'll probably have a few random vintage Mustang/DuoSonic parts for trade here shortly. If anyone is sitting on Jaguar electronics, let me know!
