For the color, I was either thinking OTM or Sherwood Green Metallic, unless I decide to leave it natural.

Alright, the body is now down to 1 5/8" thick.
No routes of any sort as of yet.
No contours
Just a big block of wood.
What would be the best way to approach the neck pocket? Are contours usually better off done by hand?
Cheers guys

Have designed a pickguard for the bastard, it reminds me of the mark hoppus jazz bass, but I am gonna have a jag plate. The main look is streamlined could-have-been-vintage Fender. Will post pics soon,
Cheers

Thanks man
Update:
Does anyone have any experience with Duncan Mini humbuckers?
I'm considering them to go along with the JB in the bridge.
Also, what are some good, clean single coils to match with the JB?
Cheers

Check the 'your pictures' thread in the other guitars forum. A guy from Offest has a Duncam mini bucker in a tele that he loves. Looks great, too.

Cheers James
I'll get on that.
I love the look of the Duncan mini, but I think it might look a bit weird in a Jaguar shaped body. The only way to really know if I'm gonna like it, the look and sound is to try one myself. I'm going to look into ordering one, and if I don't use it for this project, I might just throw it in my tele.

is the super-sonic body just a flipped jaguar?

No. It would be similar to a flipped Jagmaster, but with unique touches. The neck pocket is a 3 bolt design. The tummy cut is located on the reverse side from the normal Jag/jagmaster because it's a reverse body. The control plate is moved across the body to be in the same place as a normal Jag. The horns are different as well. Some people compare to mustang, but not sure where they get that idea.
Here is my template of a Super-Sonice I made from DawnofZion's plans and my Jazzmaster template (close to a Jag body)
J Mascis Jazzmaster | AVRI Jaguar | Tuxedo-stang |Fender Toronado GT |
Squier FSR Sparkle Jaguar | Squier CV Mustang |1971 Fender Bronco| Baja Telecaster |

Progress has been halted for now.
Some unexpected problems have come up and it looks like this guitar is gonna have to be put on the back burner for a while till things get sorted.

Right now I have the rough bore'd out pocket, I just have to sand the pocket down so I can dry fit a neck to it, then I can get the measurements/placement for the other routes.
