tele pickguard and routing question!

Here's a quick question... (I didn't put all the details in the pictures (controls, pickups etc))

I've got this:



I want to grab a thinline pickguard and turn it into this:



Will the thinline pickguard cover the end of the standard tele control cavity?
Anyone have a thinline and a standard?

I don't think it will.

I think it will get really close but a corner will stick out. That is what it looks like at least.

yeah, it looks like that from those two pictures, but they're just rough placements... I placed the control plate on there.
So I'm wondering if anyone has more accurate comparison pictures or routing diagrams.
I think it looks kinda cool? what are your thoughts?
