Took a load of stuff from my mother-in-law’s house to the recycling centre yesterday and came back with a black Legend Stratocaster copy some guy was going to chuck out. It has a couple of small chips on the body but otherwise it’s all sound, the strings feel as if they’ve been on it for about 100 years (cheese wire) thought it might be a good project what mods do you suggest
free guitar (a legend lst-x) and I’m intending on making it look something like the pic below build1 what do you think of the tortus shell guard, should I just go for a black guard?
Just took this thing apart and someone has gone mad with the router. It’s just one massive rout from the neck pickup to the bridge; I ain’t never seen anything like it.

So it’s not that unusual then, I’ve never had a guitar that’s been done like this before
The ‘Trashcaster’ so far, I’ve gone for the stealth look. It actually plays pretty well (for a Stratalike). Needs a better name and I need to work out how to do a decent decal for the head stock logo when said name is decided upon.

The strat i put together from parts looks kinda like that, except with cream pickup covers and knobs. I love that combination.
Looks like a nice project piece. I was toying with the idea of buying a cheap Strat and dropping in a set of P-90s, just for something different. That swimming pool (or universal route, I've also heard it called) might be wide enough.
Probably would replace most of the hardware with black, if 'twere mine.
