Has anyone ever played one of these? For Â£65 I'm unsure whether to be interested or not, it looks like it could be quite fun. Is it worth a go?

Really nice guitars. Never mind dez, he likes to pick up dogshit and rub it into his eyes so he has something to complain about.

I'd say get it for that price, definitely.

I've never actually played any Danelectro, how do they feel? Is the neck similar in any way to a Fender or are they completely different?

The neck has a narrower fret board than my Tele and a more rounded feel, but they sound terrific kind of raw. The one I have sounds different from all my other guitars, which was what I wanted when I bought it.

I've got the baritone; for that money, they're giving it away - you could flip it for double that on eBay, piece of piss. The only thing you'll find is that, because of the bridge position, it's physically quite a small guitar.

That particular model made the Top 10 of 'best budget guitars' in some magazine or other.
Proggy had the DC 69(?) model which i thought was okay but that U2 i had was a bit gash. Pity you cant try it first.

The '63 is quite nice - definitely one of the best reissues they've done. The neck is a bit thinner front-to-back than a Fender, and 1/16th" wider.

I've played a few of these and thought they were rubbish. That is very cheap though, so there's very little risk involved and it seems worth a go.
