i contacted the guy who makes them, and he mentioned that he wouldn't be doing them anytime soon. of course, this was probably 6+ months ago.

i'd like to find someone to just cut me one. how hard could it be?

Shouldn't be an issue for any machinist to do. All they have to do is trace out the plate, mark the screws and drill/ cut two holes... They should have the wheels on hand to buff it up nice too. Can't imagine it being too expensive to get done; maybe 1/2hr of labour and a tine bit of steel.

Fender. They make all kinds of interesting models and colour schemes etc that don't usually get exported outside of Japan.

Has anyone tried just drilling out the standard plate? Obviously you'd have extra holes, but it'd probably look fine if you're not into super clean looking instruments.
