and a copy of the tour EP we put out last summer (3 alt mixes from the album)
you can stream all the tracks free of charge (of course)

i'm waiting for kp to email me the liner notes form talk-action as well so i can include them with the download as a pdf
and we're slowly working on getting it released as a 7" but that won't be happening until the summer

hilst waiting for the musical arrangement of these “anti neo-con’s, I was pleasantly surprised to see them selling a T-shirt and a Patch for only five bucks (it’s a great shirt b.t.w).
Now, what to expect when you go to a “Zero Cool show. First, crowd interaction. KP is an amazing front man with a wicked sense of humour. His “take it or leave it attitude compliments his very energized stage presence.
This 4 piece punk band is very liberal with singing duties as well. “Nowhereman (J. RALNYK) and “Filldo make a hell of an effort fronting songs and backing the vocals in many of the compositions.
Opening with “Red Shovel Rocket and “Popcorn; the entire 2 minutes that it took to sing those songs left you wanting more of their catchy licks, and I found myself anticipating the next creation from the 4 talented fellas. Was it going to be a hard, fast and addictive 40 seconds or a 2 minute song?
Bass playing from “Filldo was meaty, fresh, and still very punk. Guitars were loud, on time, and punching your face in with a meat cleaver made from “Henry Rollins bones. This mixture of “black flag, “DOA and hits of metal that run through the songs were terribly catchy and all too inviting.
As is with most punk bands, you expect some sort of political message with what is being sung. Edgy, yet catchy choruses like “Red, White, No Blue! Red, White, F*CK YOU! had even the first timers like myself singing along.
KP : “Who here loves Stephen Harper?
Crowd: (crickets chirping) but I dropped a “WOO! anyhow.
Nowhereman: “This one’s for Fox.
KP: “This one’s called “I shot Stephen.
Crowd: “WHOO!
Me: “oh poop....
Now, in a 40 minute set, you’d never expect to hear more than 15 songs from a band, but as is with “Zero Cool; they make it happen and sound good, too. KP’s “rock star quality and “shine on stage light up a crowd. Mixed with his playing and the equally awesome additions by “Filldo and “Nowhere, you felt a part of the production taking place on the stage.
The lad of “Zero Cool are presently recording a vinyl pressing of their latest collaborations and is sure to be a hit with anyone that has a political opinion and a smart taste for well written and addictive music’s. Not to say all of their music is political by any stretch. They sing pretty much about anything they’re thinking of when getting out of the tub that day. “Rick Astley, Pawn shops, “The Tar Sands and all of the above. If you can think it, they’ve written a song about it...and most assuredly, it’s catchy.
well the masters for Talk - Action made their way to Livid Records in Florida finally
and it looks like the album will be out January 11th 2011 on vinyl (at least that is the release date on the bandcamp page that chuck livid made..) http://canadapunk.bandcamp.com/
so, the final mixes are online, stream them buy them, whatever.
rocking a food bank benefit tonight and we got some press LANK
Punking It Up For The Food Bank
Published December 16, 2010 by Lacey Paige in News & Views
What better way to celebrate the holidays than giving to those in need and receiving an awesome night of local punk rock in return?
Edmonton’s third annual Punk-Rock Food Fight is happening at the Mead Hall Friday, Dec. 17. Four bands from the Edmonton area are scheduled to tear up the Mead and raise food donations for those in need this holiday season.
The line-up features Zero Cool, the Kroovy Rookers, Van Gohst, Frightenstein, and N.N.
The Food Fight started out in 2008 at the Wunderbar on 101st Street and 81st Avenue as a small food fundraiser at the tiny hole-in-the-wall pub. Members of local punk outfit Zero Cool and former Wunderbar employee Shauna Murphy came up with the idea and contacted the Edmonton Food Bank.
The guys from Zero Cool have been involved since day one. And thanks to Murphy — now a manager at the Mead Hall — the Punk Rock Food Fight will be celebrating it’s third consecutive year, and first time at one of Edmonton’s finest alternative music venues.
“We’re fighting hunger with punk rock! Murphy says.
Donations of canned and other non-perishable food items will be accepted as cover charge at the door. Cash donations will also be accepted, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the food bank.
The Mead staff hopes people will come out and support a good cause. “The ultimate goal here is to get people to come out, have fun and enjoy some great local bands for a good cause, Murphy says.
The Mead Hall is located at 10940–166A St. behind Diva’s Ultra Lounge. Bands start at 9 p.m.
yeah.. i find it funny.. but i guess they just stole the photo from our facebook page.
i was trying to find the old promo picture.. but i guess i lost it on the HDD crash of `09
The photographer in ours each gave us some point to look at, I had a rock. Our guitarist was told to look at the drummer like he wanted to ravage him on the spot. It sounded dumb when she told us to do it, and it looked dumb in the finished product.
I love how theres a visible pipe on the ceiling that looks like its entering my skull.

but i can't find the one where we're all facing away from the camera with our hands in each others back pockets and phil is doing the over the shoulder look back with the "call me" sign.

i prefer non-looking-at-camera-photos. we had loads of shots taken and in every single one our drummer is looking directly at the lens when gavin and i were staring at our feet or wistfully into the distance. they looked gash.
