hah, it's always the same shit. i'm sure people get tired of my mouth, let alone my pics.

maybe i should do more of one than the other.

aenmaster is all strung up with 10s, need to get em stretched more, but other than that, i'm loving it. it's soooooo light. but USA strat necks are no better than most squier stuff i've played, however.

I guess I've had really bad luck with Squier then.

I know a lot of people here really like them . . . but everything I have played plays like a $100 guitar. I haven't played the newer classic vibe stuff though. I've been dying to get my hands on one.

i just realized that you're friends with making movies on myspace. i'm really good friends with enrique and brendan. you didn't happen to go to their album release show a few weeks ago, did you?

EDIT: i also see that you're friends with brendan and jon kolar (who i'm assuming is nick kolars brother?) we know a lot of the same people.

I am usually not a massive tele fan, but that my friend is one amazing looking guitar... I think there is one extremely similar (if not the same), in one of the guitar shops near me... I know what I'm gonna go play tommorow... :)

dude, I roomed with Nic Kolar my first year in college. My brother used to play in a band with Jon Kolar and Brendan. Brendan is also my older brothers best friend.

Making Movies is a legit band. I know all of them well except Juan. I've only met him a couple of times. Crazy

Tweedledee, did you do the amp conversion yourself? I'm interested in doing something similar.

Yes, I did the conversion myself. I bought the head cabinet from a guy on The Gear Page. I made the 2x10 out of a 90s Princeton Chorus that I loaded with some THD 10" speakers and I built a new back panel for it.

Not brought these two out for a little while, and while I'm checking them I might as well...

Mods:
  • Mustang Bridge
  • Switchkraft 3-way Toggle
  • ELITE KNORBS
  • lowered rhythm switch
  • GFS '64 Stagger Strat neck pickup
  • rewired rhythm circuit to work with all positions of the 3-way switch (much more useful)
  • put 24k resistor before capacitor in rhythm circuit (even more useful; now it's just like a brightness cut, bringing the guitar into a gibson-like tonal range)
cogito ergo sum...thing or other...

My new updated collection.
As I've become a Bassist more than a Guitarist because of my band, my bass collection has grown from one bass nine months ago to five basses now.

Image
Dano DC bass(latest buy, £280 from eBay), Ibanez sr300, Fender MIM standard PBass, Shine MM copy, Anniversary Rick 4003 copy

Image
Fender Esquire GT Custom, OLP MM1, My first project guitar (built from my first guitars body, encore strat and
second guitars neck Squier strat, just needs new electrics, pick-ups, bridge and tuners) and Gibson SG Special
