is it possible to wire a foot switch into the reverb circuit to it can be turned on and off on the fly?

When you turn the reverb control to minimum reverb (off) it puts the wiper of that pot to earth. If you just connect a foot switch across from the pot wiper to earth it will defeat the reverb, when you open the switch the reverb will be on again. What could be easier?

yay! i thought it would be something more complex, so i figured i would just post rather than search, guess not....
has anyone on the forum done this?

he's saying connect a footswitch that grounds the wiper of the pot when you hit the switch.
