Yeah, that's the exact model I had a try on. If you like "modern" neck shape, and get along with the somewhat "eclectic" neck, it may be the right one for you. But there are also Options with a somewhat thinner Rosewood fretboard, Mx. Standard, Highway 1, and the 62 Custom Squier f.e.

Seeing as though the CV does come with a rosewood board I'm more likely to go for that I think but it all depends when I try them out, although that esquire you recently bought is beautiful. There's far too many options :?

yeah, that's Fender. They cover nearly any price point with nearly any option, which leads to a massively blown up product line. But I heard these are also good, and they're dead cheap in the UK: http://www.dv247.com/guitars/vintage-tc ... nde--64576

I played a couple of those in the shop and wasn't overly impressed to be honest. I'm really looking forward to the CV series telecaster.

Yeah, they're certainly not bad guitars by any means, but they feel pretty cheap.

If you're keen on a rosewood board, it's worth a look at the Classic 60s Telecaster too

MIM, and really good quality across the board. Probably on an equal footing with the Classic Vibe series, but with a couple more colour options.

I may have to get myself down to Bristol and try out everything they have vaguely telecaster-ish as they'll have a bigger and hopefully better range than Gloucester.

Yeha. There used to be a second music shop in Gloucester too, didn't there?

Gamlins and Cranes in Cardiff tend to have a decent range. But their prices are sky high, just so they can be seen to offer a 'generous' discount!

I had difficulty finding squires in Bristol. Digital Village needs to order their guitars in before you can try them and sometimes they would ask for a deposit. Reverb has shut down. Absolute has decent stock but that is to the south on the way to the airport. I found a lot of nice guitars in Bath at Duck, Son and Pinker but their prices were very high. Might be worth a day in the car having a drive around

Totally off topic and nothing to do with telecasters. But has anyone played an eastwood guitar at all? just looked on ebay and they look pretty nice.
