Video of my band rehearsing...

Post by ohyeahfuzzbear »

Because we have neither the time or the money to record anything at the moment (GCSE's an' all that) I have taken to recording videos of my band rehearsing... So yeah here is ein video.... please bare in mind that we had written this song literally 5 minutes before this video was taken and the vocals were improvised on the spot...

(sorry its not a nice embedded youtube vid, youtube hates me at the moment)

My my, that bass player does have his guitar slung low!

I like this a lot, reminded me of Dananananaykroyd (at least on their Sissy Hits EP, maybe not so much on the new album) and a bit of Cap'n Jazz. Why does that man keep walking past looking shifty?

Our bassist does play slung low. I would to if I had a longer strap, the other one broke after a misjudged guitar drop.

We all love cap'n jazz and danananananananaykroyd.

The man walking past looked so shifty because he's taking his equipment home. He's called magnus and he wokrs for the council, him and his wife run free rehearsing time for under 18's. They are proper nice...

I have just noticed that my lofty/portly body shape makes that guitar look tiny...

Nice guitar :) Can't really hear the vocals or that much in the chorus, but I do like the clean guitar.

Yeah, the chorus is proper quiet, vocal wise, on the video. I suppose I was using the worst camera I own. It sounded okay in the room though and the vocals were improvised so it's probably a good thing you couldn't hear them... :)

That's really awesome. I wish someone would do something like that in Halifax!

it's really helpful. You don't get to long. But they also get you gigs and stuff and give you loads of advice.

We used to have a load of tiny promoters who put on gigs at this pub called the Royal Oak, but it's shut down now and the music scene is completely dead. Although considering it comprised of 90% pop-punk and really shit metal, I dunno if you could have said it was ever thriving...

yeah. You're in frontier psychiatrists right? You're good. There isn't too much pop punk in northampton. Lots of good alt-folk and twee pop though. Some good noise stuff too.
