Gretsch Astro Jet: Like it or not?

Hey guys,

just found a Gretsch Astro Jet on Olivias Vintage Guitars and I really like the weirdo look of it. Its too expensive, like all guitars at OVG...

I like it. It's like a Jag-stang, except instead of being a Jaguar and a Mustang, it's an SG and an SG with elephantitis.

headstock looks melted, gretsch comes out with a lot of oddball shapes in their lineup other than their sextastic LP models, like that bo diddley rectangle thingy

I usually like wonky big bodied electric guitars, especially if they have that right vibe when you play them...I don't think any vibe could save this one though, it is just too awkward.

Looks like an SG-mutant kinda thing. Maybe if the top horn was a tiny bit smaller.
