I think it's worth pointing out that there is plenty coming the other way too. There was a bit of negative felling earlier in this thread, then it turned back around to a discussion about guitars, but it seems that some people are keen to have there be some sort of row and are trying to steer the thread back in that direction.

I don't like the atmosphere in this thread or the spirit of the last couple of posts.

I actually like this guitar and never was trying to rag on it in any way. my posts were actually an attempt to correct people who were saying it was copying the billy corgan strat.

like billy3000 said, one of the guys from abe vigoda plays one. he get some really great sounds out of it.

I guess he also has a cyclone II now? awesome

ritchies strat is a duo caster. 2 pickups. the one in the middle is a solid cover with nothing under it. because fender is to fucking lame to make a custom pickguard for ritchiz

yep. that can be so.. but put three hot-rail pickups in ritchies strat, then it looks exactly like the sqiuer deluxe hot rail guitar.

not hotrails. a chopper dimarzio and two other special designed dimarzio pickups from corgan himself.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those are "rail" pickups, most likely sharing tonal and construction similarities to hotrails.
Most people who get the Fender are prob paying for the 'Signature' status of the guitar, and prob wouldnt be able to tell the difference between the specially designed dimarzio billy corgan pickups and hotrails, hence why this is aptly named the Squier version of the Billy Corgan strat thread.

Played the sig on several amps: Fender HRD, Laboga Mr. Hector, Vox Ac 30. This guitar sucks at cleans and crunch.
Hi-Gain is cool, but without cleans/crunch its a One-Trick-Pony......... and a strat should never be a one trick pony!
I tried classic-strat material like Hendrix, Indie and Blues through it. Dull and Boring. Compared it with American Standard Strat and Fender HotRod Strat

But the Riffs of Smashing Pumpkins and so sounded really cool through the Laboga Mr.Hector.
aha. you didnt like the loudness in the pickups.. i can understand that, i know some people hate them.. but i think theyre the best! with the right setup on the amp and the pedals you got a fine clean sound with it..
change the pickups then if you dont like the dimarzio.
Arnt they Duncan design'd hot rails?Isn't the main selling point of this guitar it's pick ups?
If so why wouldn't you go for a standard series? There's more colour options and about the same price.
And anouther 40 quid could have you a cv series

yes they are. but some people in this thread got me confused when they were talking about corgan signature guitar and this squier hot rail guitar.

i like those hot rail pickups in this guitar, gives a strong sustain sound, darker tone and a little bit muddy, just lovley. and i didnt want any other color i like the guitar completley white. and also this guitar was very cheap.

you've asked for the opinion of others and critisized every opinion and suggestion
so im rather confused why you asked peoples opinions
