Just out of interest: Whats the cheapest shortscale guitar?
Would have written more in the title, but to define more: Looking for something over here in the UK and non-fenders/squiers i.e. copies or originals can fit the bill too. Can it be done for 250GBP? 150? 100??
Love to see what you guys know and can find. I'm trawling atm, so I'll see what I can dig up too.

I am pretty sure they are the same as the SX sst 57 and 62 that rondo sells, but with the old fender like head stock.

Modern
Would you like a vintage or modern type guitar.
Yeah, this thread isn't very specific....and what scale is shortscale to you? 24"? Smaller than that? You talking new/used?
Just about every company from squier, epiphone, ibanez, dean, daisy rock (schecter), mark II/first act, luna, etc etc makes some affordable $80 - $150 range short scale kids guitars. If you just want a 6 stringed instrument that has a short scale neck then there's quite a few out there, just have to know what you're looking for.

Sorry guys, I mean a 24" neck, not really anything much smaller than that. Kids guitars are valid but I don't see me ever playing one. I know there are a lot of 20" necked guitars out there, but I meant specificially 24". And new guitars too, used ones I get the general picture of the used market from other posts on here.
Hope that helps?
