Thanks. Actually, the Tele is a late 90's to early 2000 CIJ '62 Reissue. That has been my main guitar for the longest time, and is now semi-retired since I've shifted to offsets. Here's an old photo:

So many people have mistaken them for dildos or cocks...

My Yamaha:

I was toying with replacing the bridge pickup for a more lower mids and bass grunt, but I think I've adjusted to its bright nature now. It's not really that bright anyway... more like totally balanced across all freq.

Here is the tele after the bigsby/pickup swap. Almost started a project thread but all I did was drill a few holes and solder a little. Didn't really think it was worth of its own thread.

I'm a newbie here on the board, but I thought for a start I'd contribute my acquisitions from this week:

Thats gorgeous. I'd love to do a jaguar project guitar like that.

After putting a set of Dots inspired GFS Dream / Mean 90s in my Epiphone Rivera last year, I recently decided I missed the humbucking wall of sound it use to make. So I put the original epiphone neck pickup back in and ordered a GFS Vintage 59 bridge pickup as the old epi one sounded like a wasp in a tin can. So here it is restored to its former glory:

Image

The Vintage 59 is a fantastic classic sounding pickup, the guitar sounds like I imagined it would when I bought it back in the mists of time...

I also finished my first partscaster, made from the alder body from the free aria guitar I blagged at the recycling centre a few months ago and various other begged borrowed and eBayed parts: new scratch plate, pickups, neck and machine heads

Image

Still needs a set of heaviest strings I can find
