It seems Griff put it upon himself to upload some unfinished demos on our behalf, but this is me and Mike's "band" aka PANCAKES! Two brief pop affairs for your listening 'pleasure', me on lead/right guitar, synth an backing vox, Mike on bass, Mike#2 (Griff) on most of the vox and left guitar.
Deserves it's own thread. Some people were interested in hearing our steez, here are two early examples.
OtherMike (griff) is doing the lead vox at the moment, and the backing stuff on there at the moment is all sung by Doog. I'll be adding backing vocals soon enough but these are fairly early demos still. It's a fun band to be in though, I'm enjoying playing the bass.

rocking the pbass? I just played bass in a band for a gig after only playing guitar, it was so much fun. Something about 4 strings is just lovely.
Bass is hella fun. I was a bassist before guitar got involved. It's really great to lock into a groove with the drummer and let the guitarists go silly. Basses can be more challenging than guitars, especially rhythm wise. If you're not locked in with the drummer at a gig or if you nail a bad note, people really really notice it, whereas guitarists can totally get away with that kind of stuff.
There's a new semi-finished demo up on the myspace now, if you're interested 'Mountain Song'. Imma protest to have this renamed to a non-Jane's Addiction title.
Needs chorus/outro vocals, but it's getting thaaar.
