Hollow body
So I really want a hollow body guitar, its for playing jazz and a little jazz fusion.
I've found a second hand Ibanez Artcore AK95 for £270 and I have enough money for that but I'm not sure whether I should buy that or wait a few months and pick something up £1000+ (probably an Eastman).
What do you guys think?
cheers
gabe
oh and if your thinking wasn't I going on about wanting a jaguar I still want one of those its just I would play a jazz guitar alot more so I'm saving for one of those first

You looking at fully hollow as oppose to solid centre block?
Are you in a Jazz/fusion band? If not i'd seriously reconsider saving and shelling out £1,000. There's some good gear around at under half that even with a pup upgrade or two. The Artcore Semi's i believe have a solid centre block, fully hollow Jazz boxes have a warmer sound imo. James will be able to advise you here, also type in 'Jazz Box' on ebay or 'Jazz Guitar', it will throw up some stuff you probably have'nt considered.

Take a look at the Peerless guitars. I know a lot of people who have been impressed with the craftmanship on them. Lots of different models as well. LANK I've seen some as cheap as £400. But take a gander at their stuff and see if any are going on ebay.
They used to make a lot of stuff for epiphone and here is one of their casinos on ebay

t5's play amazing. I used one for about a year. I used it for a straight rock sound most of the time, so not sure how it would sound for Jazz as I do not play Jazz. I used to split the signal and sent an acoustic line out to the PA and then an electric line out to my pedals/amps. It was a very fun setup.

Do they cope well with distortion? Although thats not really a concern for me as I don't plan to use it for this but if it sounds alright could be a good help.mickie08 wrote:t5's play amazing.
