please help me!!!!
i sent the COUGAR1000 home with my dad to live in my parents basement 3 hours away until hilary and i buy a house (who the fuck knows when thats gonna happen????)
want smallish (not TOTALLY GAY SMALL ) amp for apartment with tubes with a 10 or 12 in it for 200 bucks..... any ideas ?

Vibro/Super Champ XDs are quite nice. They're even cheaper on eBay.
Look at old Peaveys in that range, too. It's a difficult price, but not impossible.

for $350 you can get the
Bugera V22 , they are so nice. a little more then your price range but man its worth the money.

Musicmaster Bass amps are quite nice. Loud, but not too loud. And they sound BIG!!!

Wow, I didn't know you could get Silverface tones for so cheap.
What's the tone like on one of these? e.g. glassy, dirty etc.
Is that a 15" speaker?

When I was in hollywood the first time, the vintage shop had a fucking wall of silverfce champs for $300-$350. If I didnt have os much fucking crgo already, I woulda bought one.

Can usually snag silverface champs/vibrochamps for 250'ish. I got one for that a couple months ago and it's a great house/apartment amp.

I'd say tell your friend at ZZounds (I just got an order from them Friday....) to keep an eye on their warehouse relealed items. I think they have a Bugera v22 for about 300. Plus it would be better to spend a couple dollars more and get something that is going to work for you long term then cheap out (unless you find a cool tube amp used.....)

If you are patient they are out there for $200ish shipped. 12 watts of 12 inches of tube goodness.
