I want a reverb pedal but I don't want to pay loads for it.

As the title says, I want a reverb pedal but I don't want to pay loads for it. I'm currently looking at the Marshall Echohead and the EHX Holy Grail Nano but I don't want a Digitech Hardwire RV7 (loads of functions which I won't use and too expensive, the Marshall seems to cover all it's bases too for half the price). Can anyone give me advice on these 2 or recommend anything else?

Whoops, I actually meant the Reflector - well spotted. I'm in the market for a delay too (see my other topic) and have been looking a YouTube clips of the Echohead - the name must have become ingrained upon my brain.

Marshall is alright.

It does all of it's settings decently enough bit it's nothing too special.

You had me at hello... and then you lost me at not wanting the rv-7

Its a great reverb pedal, i've loved mine since they day i got it [back when they first came out]. I understand not needing all of its features, it can seem like a lot but each setting certainly has its place.

Recently i've only been using it as a spring reverb. It seriously sounds like a real reverb tank - when you strum harder and really dig in it produces more 'pings' and the repeats get brighter as well, and when you play softer it settles down. If only it went KERRRANG when you kicked it

I had an RV7 and sold it. I sold it mainly because I had no space for it on my pedalboard and my amp at the time had reverb, but now none of my amps have reverb and I could do with using some reverb sometimes. I want a reverb that has one setting that I like, the RV7 is really good but I don't see the point in paying extra when i'm only going to use one setting and I can get something cheaper that will cover my requirements, maybe not as well, but adequately for the price.

I think Hall would suit me best, it's the setting I always preferred to use on the RV7 when I had it.

I'm not looking for something super cheap, i'm happy to pay Â£60-80 - I don't really want to pay over Â£100 for an RV7 or a Cathedral - although the Cathedral does look like a lot of fun but I doubt i'd use most of the functions like with the RV7 when I had it.

I heard reports of hiss or noise issues with the Behringers, i'm not to keen on that.

Mine was quiet as you like - if you had trails switched on, the reverb level would cut (or boost) you signal, but that was dealable with.

I'm now the owner of Benecol's Behringer RV600 and I agree it's a smashing little pedal for the price...
I had a few noise issues to begin with, but I discovered it was because of the cheapo Maplin power supply I was using, the noise went away after I invested in a better quality unit...

The EHX Holy Grail is pretty nice, but I own it and I DESPISE the fact that this pedal sucks the volume out of your tone the more you turn it up. I know the nicer Grail pedals that have recently been produced offer a input gain knob, but I have yet to try them to tell you how good they are. I'd recommend them over the Holy Grail unless you plan on having it on all the time.

Danelectro Spring Kings are pretty cool too, they have a stomp pad you can mimic the 60s "kick-your-amp" trick with. I still think Fender Blackface amp reverb is the best out there. If they could produce that exact tone and warmth in a pedal, I would buy it on the spot.

some of the alesis stuff is sweet and nicely priced. i have heard the Dr Scientist RRR is based on an alesis microverb?
