Hi There,
I just scored this awesome guitar off a local message board for $50 bucks. A set of flatwounds and a neck shim later, and it's incredible! It was in pristine condition and the pickups sound great. It's called a "Pan", which is a rebrand of Aria, Made in Japan.
anyone have any idea for a whammy bar replacement?
what a delightful faun
the pickups look and sound awesome
thanks for taking a look!

Thats sweet what a steal!
I don't know about the trem arm I'm guessing a bigsby copy might work? But thats just a shot in the dark.

So she sounds good, yes? How about playability and tuning stability? I love 60's Japan kookiness, but have never had good luck with the hollowbodies.

Looks cool. If you gave a close up shot of the tremolo someone might recognise it.

I strung it up and adjusted the truss rod, but the strings near the body were way off the fretboard. Anything past the 5th fret was sort of a pain in the ass to play. I read that these japanese guitars had amazing necks, but not so amazing neck pockets and that they usually needed to be shimmed. I threw a shim in the pocket and now it's incredible. No problem with action or tuning stability. It really has blown my mind.
Here are some closer shots of the trem
would one of these work?

I think so, as long as you have the correct screw/fitting thing. But it looks like it could work.

Very nice score for the price. I like the Gibsonesque headstock.

Do want to see Brandon pretend to be Wilco.
