what the fuck is this, and why shouldn't I buy it?

Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

I love that guy now. I love how he accents each comment with noodling. He must join here.

Nice find.

Weren't you always after a Squier '51, though?

I've had a '51 for a bit over a year now. I keep it tuned to drop c.

Just set it up for my heavy bottom skinny tops (widened nut slots a bit and intonated).

Loving this neck. If it were shortscale it'd be perfect. As it is I'm pretty fiucking happy with it. Haven't put it down hardly at all today. calluses are getting blisters...

that guitar really is a joy. Got it for $70. Put about 30-40 worth of GFS stuff into it, and a lace chrome head I scored for cheaps on ebay.
It looks and sounds awesome, plays great.

It admittedly doesn't get much playtime, but every time I think about selling it off I just look at it and think it's too awesome to sell.

It's really one of the best looking 51's I've ever seen. Pretty proud of my work on her.

I have very little need of it as my double bucker guitar is my m-80. and it's very similar in appearance to my '51... but I want it.

If I could spend any more on guitars this month lifetime, I'd totally be looking into that ebay Hondo. Not that I'd be trying to take it from you or nothin'

There is a big difference in quality between the ‘hondo’ and ‘hondo ii professional’ range. So I imagine after the lead ii it would only disappoint. But it looks the part

I'm not sure about LEAD II coppies, but having owned several models from the series, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Hondo II Professional Series LONGHORNS. They were apparently built by TOKAI, and the quality is amazing- even for the increasingly high prices these have been bringing as of late.

All hondo II's were apparently made in the tokai factory.
