Amazing.

A sketchup of something that's a long ways off, if it ever comes out at all.

I don't know how I feel about it....initially watching it I thought "whoa that's amazing" and felt it might be this generation's theremin....but just listening to it, all it sounds like is a softsynth that any midi controller could do with the right amount of skill. It's pretty gimmicky if you ask me...in the end there is only sound....and if this device can't actually produce sound then I am not interested.

Linn is a genius. He basically invented the first usable drum machine, as well as helping to develop Midi. My AdrenaLinn was fucking brilliant. It's like instant electro guitar in a box.

He really is. I found this because I was looking for info on the new Linn drum he's doing with DSI which honestly is looking like it might be vaporware. His work on the Akai MPC series is also on the list of great things he's done for music.
