Shoegazer

Post by Reece »

So I got this thing today and I've been waiting for an excuse to try out this fancy new HD camera.
So I used it on something that doesn't need to be in HD at all in any way shape or form!

This thing is wonderful. It covers lots of different ground.

The ONLY reason I got rid of it was to fund the super brodeal I got on a vintage fuzz-tone. The shoegazer is such a cool fuzz. I never knew there were other versions. I got that one when they first came out. It has the hand made boards in it. I know when I was working for devi the shoegazers had fancy printed out boards, so she must have changed them then.

I meant to throw in my old band's CD, but forgot. We recorded this right after I got the shoegazer, so there's shoegazer tones thrown left and right on this.

1280 x 720.
h.264 video in a .mp4 container at 1.6 mb/s.

If it was something with lots of movement I'd probably have gone for a 3 or 4 mb/s bitrate but it bumps up the file size.

I believe it's what's known as a pun. Soda Meiser = sodomiser, which is kind of rude and therefore funny.

Any idea why they called this pedal the Shoegazer? It doesn't seem to sound like any of the shoegazy bands I know and love.

Who knows but Kevin Shields uses one so that could justify the name?
