Otherwise it looks like you've done a fantastic job on it, just call it what it is: a modified Jagmaster and a well done one at that.
?

its not a relic job, its just supposed to be what a jagmaster from 1964 would have looked like, clay dots, transition logo, mint guard etc.

I am not trying to fool anyone, or anything like that, just adding a cooler appeal to the guitar than stock.

looks great. is it white on white? or pink? would play. only thing that would've made it cooler, would be a modified jazz decal that said jagmaster. cuz it's hardly a jazzmaster. pics of jag?
white on mint green pg. i thought about the decal thing, can't find jagmaster decals unfortunately.. and i will have a project thread up of the 64 jag soon enough ;)

I think I'll just eat my own shoes rather than deal with this particular brand of muppetdom.

No. Read my posts, Rainman. I said the project was fantastic, but that naming it a 1964 is retarded.

Something stupid?

The guy has every right to call it that, just as I have ever right to think it's dumb. The only reason this posting exchange has lasted this long is that someone miscontrued my words and said I thought the project was worthless. I don't. I complimented it several times, I just think the name is lame. Same as someone completely copying 196x spec on a new build. I find it equally stupid, why not just tread your own path?

Looks cool. The only thing that sort of strikes me as a bit wrong is the Jazzmaster decal. Given that it's a 24" neck, I'd have thought that a Jaguar decal would have made more sense, but I suppose either can be justified.

Its so tempting to do a Jagmaster build, and this doesn't help stop the urge.
