Can't you get AVRI jazzmaster pickups all day everyday on eBay for about the same price.

These are not like a super good deal or anything. Nice option to have though, I guess.

It's nice that you get the mounting foam and screws. It's also kind of good if you want the p90 growl without going through the custom builders like Novak or Lollar.

plus what i've seen on teh bayz are ~$40 - 60 for one pickup, not a set. at $35'ish, these aren't bad. . . if they sound decent.

Are they constructed like a p90? It doesn't look like they are from the photos and pickup description. The 90 part in the name is confusing though.

Curtis Novak now makes a Jazzmaster neck pickup for telecasters that sits on top of the scratchplate, meaning no modification of the body at all. It looks pretty cool.

I was thinking that the other day. At first I thought "only a matter of time" but now I'm not sure. Do you guys think they will? I had brief thoughts that maybe they'd think it'd look criminally ripped off if they did, vs. just an obvious "in the style of" guitar. They don't seem too concerned with that sort of thing pre-cease and desist though, and the rest of the guitar isn't an exact copy either.

I don't know. If you think about their strat rip offs are pretty much dead on, more so than the Jazzmaster copies would be if they put these pickups in them. I hope they do, even if they don't, I'm tempted to order one and route it for these pickups!
