I know that Ibanez have an utterly baffling range of instruments available in Japan. When Iwas about seventeen I started thinking about saving for an RGT42FM, which was available here but quite rare. I tried to find somewhere online to buy one and found a site with all sorts of RGT42's, not just the FM (which stood for Flamed Maple, it had a transparent red finish. The T in RGT stood for thru-neck, I think).
