clicking to see the full size picture I can see what you mean. Hard to tell really, but I still think it's cool in a don't-see-that-type-of-aging-everyday sort of way

This is Nick BTW....posting on Lauren's computer and I forgot she was signed in....

Pikesoldier on the Gear page called Gibson today to ask if this was really a limited edition.Gibson rep told him they will make 120 a month in each color for 6 months. 3600 total.

Amazon now shows the goldtop and honeyburst "currently unavailable"...

Same Day Music is taking preorders now (Link)

and also

American Musical Supply (Link)

ZZounds has them too (Link) .

Since all these places price match you could order one from "store A" get a 10% off price match from "store B" and then get another 10% off from "store C".

Looks like the goldtop is soldout at zzounds and Same day music as they don't have an arrival date anymore. Only AMS still shows that they are expected in August.

oh, they look so nice, I just love when the body 'upper part'/face is colored, and the bottom/'rear' is just lacquer.
So nice..

I usually dont like black/white guitars but these have a very nice appeal.

I think Les Pauls often look too showy and blingtastic. These stripped down rootsy P90 models look ace.

Most Les Pauls are like that except black ones (which is part of why I don't like black ones). Sunburst LPs are cherry red like an SG everywhere except the carved top.

The Cat is out of the bag. Today this was posted on the Gibson Forum by "Gibson USA"

"60 made it out the door last month.

Rumors are flying.

Les Paul Studio loaded with P-90's for how much?

Orange Drop Capacitors on a Gibson USA model that costs how much?

Faded finishes that look vintage.........Worn White against cream plastic...That's not right, but it is............Gold Top?

Did we mention "This is a Limited Run Gibson USA model".

$1,399 Retail Price. Ask your local dealer for details. Shipping soon.

"In honor of the decade that gave birth to rock and roll Gibson USA is proud to present the acclaimed Les Paul Studio in a unique new package. The new Les Paul Studio ’50s Tribute model embodies the look and tone of the great original Les Pauls from the 1950s, at a price that fits the wallets of today’s hardworking musicians. Ever since its introduction in 1983, the Les Paul Studio model has been enormously popular with players seeking the power and versatility of the original Les Paul Standard in a ready-for-action package, with a price to match. The Les Paul Studio ‘50s Tribute sticks to the script entirely, but its five worn ’50s-style finishes and meaty dual single-coil P-90 pickups give it a look akin to classics from the decade of the Les Paul’s birth, so much so that you’ll be doing a double-take to check it’s not an original 55-year-old Lester!"

How did 60 slip out the door?
