Samick LP Custom worth $250?

Post by westtexasred »

My local store has a Samick LP Custom same as the one in the photo below except it is has gold covers on both pickups and is near mint condition. When did they make these? In the 90s? Worth $250? There used to be a website with info about the Samick LPs but it was on Geo-Cities so it is now kaput.

the local Daddy's Junkie Music had a sparkle top samick lp for the same price I think....don't recall if it was the same headstock but it was very well made...still probably on par with the nicer examples of korean Epiphones...

If I didn't already have an LP that I was trying to get rid of I probably would have wanted to snatch it up...it was a fantastic guitar for $250.

i used to have one for a long time and loved it. my co guitarist had a 70'2 gibson and they were pretty much identical playing wise, 'cept maybe the pickups.

Yh the old samick stuff is nice, back in my shred days I had an 80s artist series superstrat that I got for £50 because the floyd on it had died. I fitted a guitarfetish double locking bridge to it along with some of their crazy high output pickups. After that it was great. I miss it sometimes, but in truth I'd probably hate it now.

It's interesting to see the evolution of this guitar, devolution some may say.
