um major score?

Post by plesiosaurus »

I just cleaned this guy out

http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/msg/1777088677.html

It's all in varying states of disrepair, but holy shit. Probably worth a couple grand at least.

My house is getting full of shit. I need a studio space.

List of gear if he takes down the ad soon:

- Teac 80-8 8-track reel deck with DBX noise reduction unit
- Teac 25-2 2-track reel deck
- Teac "5" (8-channel mixer)
- Teac PB-64 Patch Bay
- Spectro Acoustics 217 Preamp
- Spectro Acoustics 210R Graphic EQ
- Spectro Acoustics 200SR Power Amp
- Master Room Reverb XL-305
- Yamaha Analog Delay E1010
- Symetrix HA-10B Headphone Amp
- Wurlitzer 120 Electric Piano
- 2 Calibration Standard Instruments MDM-4 Studio Monitors
- 2 Emerson Stereo Speakers

haha the wurli is pretty effed and neither of the rack effects are working.

i have a feeling most of this stuff is going to need a whole lot of work to get in usable shape.

maybe sell it all to someone real cheap and move on--- or do a sweet trade or two
I would have given up already if it wasn't for the impending revolution!

those wurlitzers have shot up in price over the past few years, you'd maybe get a pretty penny for the parts if you broke it up. depends how shagged it its, i s'pose.

yeah. i just emailed a repair place in seattle to see what they think it might cost to get it back into shape. incidentally i just bought a rhodes a couple weeks ago on the cheap that's in much better condition and i am not sure if i really need both. however, i can carry the wurli by myself which is a big plus.
