MIJ vs CIJ Jagmaster

Post by baloneysandwich »

I am in the market for a Vista series Jagmaster and have heard there are some differences between the CIJ and MIJ guitars. Anybody confirm/deny? what's the deal with this?

No difference.
They used Jaguar bodies, but the Jaguar back then only the sunburst model was Alder, the solid colors were something else (i forget what). Possibly the same applies to the Jagmaster.

i'm pretty sure both 'versions' are CIJ.

between vistas i'm pretty sure the main difference is the truss rod access locations, and colors.

EDIT: bah, fran da man.

although, i'm not entirely convinced they're jaguar bodies. contours are different between mine, but i guess that doesn't mean anything.

moar here.

thanks for the info, good to know. the jaguar/jagmaster post was REALLY helpful..

hmm, well as far as both versions being CIJ--a jagmaster i was looking at earlier had mij printed on the back of the neck and the truss rod wasn't accessible through the headstock, but obviously it's the same story on your CIJ..
