Sunn Beta Lead did this amazing well.

As much as I love my blackheart, and as much over kill as it was for a "practice" amp... I miss it desperately.

Big fan of the jumpered inputs, here.

Trayor YBA-1s (weapon of choice) do this fantastically

Ampeg SVTs, too

Fender Twins

and of course, Marshall JTM45s

There's plenty of others, too...

Whoops, where I come from, people say "jack" to mean "input".
Essentially, plugging a jack bridging the two channels on these two channel amps allows you to blend both channels' (bright/normal) high/low gain settings by means of seperate volume controls. I thought this is what you were referring to.

Try plugging your guitar in the bright-high and jumpering the bright-low to the normal-high.

Anything?

i'm not sure, honestly.
i guess i've never actually used blend, just combined.
por ejemplo, my deuce has 2 channels, 2 inputs. one input is normal, where i can switch back and forth from the pedal. the second input, called 'automix' allows me to switch channels, but also to have both on at the same time. does that make sense?

Yeah, totally. I think the Automix function jumpers the channels internally instead of having to bridge them with a jack cord. Same thing, more efficient.

no 2 inputs. I had mike build me a custom switcher taht does A/B/Y with built in saltboost. I then had to jumper the low so that it's always on, because normally when you plug into the high it shuts it off. so both the low and high have cable coming out running to my custom switcher.

Oh. That's pretty neat. Too bad blending doesn't make that big of a difference with your amp, though I guess this generally works better when you can control the channels' volumes independently.

If I had sperate volume control I could turn down the high and shape it a little better. The problem is the high gain is so out of control demonic on the mig 60 that it totally over powers the low.

You can still here a difference, oddly it's a bit more bassy with both active, just not as colorful as I'd like it to be.

Maybe pop a volume pedal between the A/B/Y switch and the High channel?
