Epiphone Custom 30

Post by the isaac eaton »

So Im looking into getting an all tube amp, just tired of my cyber twin and want something a lot simpler. My local shop has a few of them and I have always passed on them and never tried them out before, but I did try it out and I was really impressed by it. I really want to bring in my pedal board and run that through the amp, but it seems very promising so far, it has a similar sound to an AC30 which I love, But man this thing is killer.

Just wondering if anyone owns one what you think of them? or any warnings you may have about them, like it falls apart or something.

The band Gliss use one and it sounds sweet? But I'd advise to look second hand for an AC30cc2. You can find them for around half the RRP. I got mine for £420! Seriously my favourite amp of all time.

Just a thought.

They seem like fine amps, but I'd definitely look at some of the better-known (and therefore more extensively road-tested) amps out there first.

Played it with my pedal board and guitar at the local shop. Loved every second of it, I'm selling my cyber twin and going for it. Maybe Ill change the speakers out later but for now it is 100% good for me.

Now I just have to hope that someone will buy my current amp.

I'm kind of in the market for an inexpensive 30 watt combo, right now. I'd love to hear what your impressions are, when you've had a few weeks to fuck around with it.

Demo it if you can, please. :)
