Look at this vintage Danelectro

It is being returned to him today.
I snapped some images. The amazing thing is that the guitar had not been touched since the mid 70's and was in perfect tune. "

Nat Daniels (the founder) was very different from the current owner, who's just an opportunist.
Nat Daniels worked with the army in WWII, Atlantic theater. He used his knowledge of electronics to design a superior shielding scheme for mobile communications which saved the army millions and probably saved many lives. After, he started Danelectro. The company had several firsts: first shielded guitar, first class A/B guitar amp (now the standard), first tilt-adjustable neck, first electric baritone, and many others. The biggest contribution was the company's guitars, which were the first beginner-priced guitars that offered professional level playability. His company was extremely influential and had a large role in shaping the guitar's status today.
The current owner just bought the name, stole a bunch of designs, and makes money off them. He supported Prop 8. However, the company is also currently building water purifiers in Africa. So, you know, see it as you will.
The "Catholic" belief that gay marriage doesn't fulfill the marriage goals is BS. By that same standard, infertile people should also not be allowed to marry. I put Catholic in quotes because all the nuns, monks, and priests I know support gay marriage.

In my experience, the Catholic clergy opinion varies from allowing civil gay marriages, but believing the church should not, to believing the church should perform gay marriages regardless of the law. Everyone thinks it should be allowed, it's just how active the church should be in making it legal.

Aren't you jewish now?Josh wrote:i'm not saying it's okay by any means.
i'm just saying that's where his viewpoint on gay marriage might come from.
will, are they conservative catholics? b/c they're the ones that don't support gay marriage.
the priest at my school supports it, as does almost everyone else in my school.
Being Catholic has fuck all to do with it. This isn't a question of whether the church should allow gay marriage, it's a question of whether the state should. And as previously stated, most every catholic I know supports gay marriage anyway.
And yes josh, I'm pretty sure "nuns, monks, and priests" constitutes conservative catholics by virtue of having the title.

i go to a catholic school, where i hear all this kinda stuff in my religion class.
and the theology teacher went on and on on why gay marriage is wrong and such. (not that i buy it or anything)
i'm just saying that's a possibility for why the prick at danelectro gave money to prop 8 is all.
AND I KNOW ITS A REALLY DUMB IDEA ON WHY HE WOULD DO THAT.
