They have this guitar in a local store.Its mostly original except it has new tuners.

what kind of bracing does it use? Lateral or X bracing?

you sure that tailpiece is original? most of those old gibsons had a weird pegged tailpiece with celluloid tortoiseshell on it.

have you seen this series of youtube videos? fairly mandolin-centric, but they play a whole bunch of gibson instruments from the teens and twenties.
