New toys in Japan!-Vox Jamvox

Post by JJLipton »

Well i've been in Japan for about 3 weeks now. I've already met some really cool guitar players and looked into the music scene. I brought the "vox jam vox" with me. Picked it up for about $120 bucks Its a cool little black box monitor that plugs into the computer via USB. It comes with amp models, and some pretty awesome recording software that let you remove or soften the lead guitar track in a song. Check out this nifty little recording: http://www.2shared.com/audio/PjVhmgeJ/M ... ing_3.html More to come later!
BTW, Journey FOREVER

80 views and no comments? :(

Heres sort of a demo of the guitar removing software. It doesnt work perfectly but it can reduce the volume of a lead guitar track

I want to download this, but the page you've uploaded to looks dodgy as fuck. Anything that says "download" on it looks like a ad banner.

Upload to medifire or megaupload?

Yeah it sounds wayyyy better than my line 6 podxt for recording, plus it's easier to use and about 1/3 of the price. Did i mention it also doubles as a computer speaker?

Can You use the 'vox box' with other recording software ? Not just the supplied 'vox software' ?

(as far as it goes as 'real' sound then the amps supplied with Apple Logic Pro are just superb)

Good question! actually that was one of the major gripes about the jamvox. It can only be used with the vox software i believe. However I think the vox software is very easy to use. As for the sound quality of the amp models and tones, check out my recorded samples! I think the recorded tone is actually pretty damn good.
