It's odd. With a little less shoulder or a little less fretboard-flatness I think I'd love it. I really really like it as it is, though.

So, what was once Joey's Toronado, has found it's way into my possession via TheBurbz...

Replaced the pickups with Bareknuckles, upgraded electronics, new bridge and pickguard

It's the first time I've attempted anything like it and have learned a ton

I've just managed to get it set up and it's sounding lovely. I think it's a keeper

Thanks for the compliments folks, I was beginning to think I'd done something wrong

Must've just sneaked it in under the radar

Aye Thom, it's your standard Mississippi Queen/Nailbomb Combo... Done to death but it works.

Might've liked a pair of MQ's but I was uneasy about the spacing at the bridge.

I'll probably be upgrading the pickups in my CP Jag HH with Bareknuckles in light of it... suggestions are welcome

Nice one - that's the combo I have in my custom LP.
Other HB's I have from Bareknuckle are the Miracle Man (Jag-Stang) and Rebel Yell set (LP copy).
Have to say if I were to only have one BKP humbucker guitar then I would do a M.Queen/Miracle Man combo. Think I like the added tightness of the MM compared to the Nailbomb and it works especially well with the short scale.

Don't really know why it's taken so long to post here:

'65 Reissue Mustang, some how cracked a pick-up cover and never got round to replacing them

Reissue conversion Jagmaster gonna put some PhatCat 90s in there when I come into some money. Desperately needs some new tuners as it goes out of tune ALL the time. Not sure if it's just because they're crap or i'm getting a bit too fruity with the trem arm or both.

Can't really remember much about this guitar, my parents bought it me in about 2003 when I was 13. It's a mexican strat with a Seymour Duncan Lipstick tube. This guitar is pretty much unplayable now because of the abuse it got in my old band. Warped neck, dodgy bridge, crazy amount of dints, blah blah. Think i'm gonna put the Lipstick tube in my Mustang and buy a neck lipstick tube when/if i get a job.

Does anyone have any photos of a Lipstick'd up 'tangs?

I lol'd!

But in seriousness, that's an interesting proposition; I'd like to hear the result.

I lipstick'd up the neck pickup in my tang. Wow, that reads worse than I anticipated.

I love the black-on-black Mustang with the rosewood fretboard! I had a similar 70s Mustang that I sold a long time ago. Yours is making me really miss it. :D
