I would be interested in if didn't have enough guitars at my house. My favorite cheap guitar is my CV Duo Sonic. Amazing tone and guitar for the money.

the quality in my opinion is on part with top-end squier stuff. i have a shortscale jazz bass and it fucking rocks. does so many different tones, and i got for like $115 i think. i got it right before they changed all the headstocks. i plan on keeping this one for a long time.

i also had the 25.5" version of this same guitar, and it was built really nice, i just couldn't jive with the t.o.m., and ultimately sent it back for a mickey mouse refund. the guy was kind of a dick about it.

see this thread: http://www.shortscale.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29500

my review is on pg 3, and i'm yet to demo the bass.

I dig a lot of the Rondo stuff . I never knew they were like the king of the cheap guitars . Great stuff for the money . I dilly dallied with an Agile Strat once . Way better than a Squier I'll tell you that much ( No offense Squier guys ).

I have a buddy who owns a dozen Rondo guitars (both Agiles and SX's) and loves them. The only one I ever bought was an early example of the SJM-62 (now LIQUID) that was full-scale. Even after adding a BUZZSTOP and WARMOTH MODIFIED MUSTANG BRIDGE, it was still barely playable. I look at it every now and then... :(

The neck on every SX I've played was lovely.....super glossed and tinted with no rough edges on the frets.

Ive always personally disliked those. I remember first scrolling down the page and being really excited until I got to the butt end of the guitar.

However, Upon seeing the left handed verson, I've decided that a custom body like that, with the controls on the ugly fin part. (so, a reversed ugly rondo jazzmaster) would make a pretty cool guitar if you are either a metalhead of have a lot of things to control.

im sure you guys have seen these as well. they are far more expensive but a way cooler jazzmaster ripoff: argus

i'm not sure if the necks on the shortscale ones are in true fender shortscale fashion, but i fit a jazzmaster neck on my SJM-62, which is standard 25.5" scale length.

Dunno for their shortscales, I'd guess they are probably conversion necks so no. For the standard scale, they supposedly will.
But why would you bother. The necks on these are supposedly approximate to higher end squier quality, and as such perfectly passable.

I have some MIJ Fender necks laying around....perhaps I will create A monster.
