A know a guy who put one on an Ibanez hollow body (not the same guitar I know) but he said it didn't keep in tune very well when after he attached the bigsby..... I don't know if this would be a factor. I have always liked them though, a bigsby is the sole purpose I wanted a Gretsch Electromatic.

I'd do it. Black Les Paul with a bigsby gets instant love from me.

Do it. As it's a samick you should just mod the hell out of it.

I always wanted a Les Paul Custom with one black P90 and one Alembic pickup... fuck it put a filterton in the middle too! Put a five way toggle switch in it as well, Jimmy Page style.

Ugh I know you didn't ask BUT

Think about it...

P90 in the bridge, gets you that early Freddie King sound, the Teisco gold foil gets you that Ry Cooder sound (his was in the middle as well) and the Alembic gives a smooth Jerry Garcia sound... what wuold happen with them all on at the same time... on a Les Paul?!?

They are great, but I think they use A b5/b5 adapter combo

I've always wondered why there isn't a good no-drill adapter for a LP bigsby. This is good to know. I HATE HATE HATE the look of the extra old holes from the TOM tailpiece posts.

or..... you could get the ones that don't screw in the top.

The B6

they're better anyway because they're not so stiff. they have more of a springy action to them.

Problem with Vibramate is that it's really quite expensive for a slab of aluminium.

I'd go with that too, I think they look tidier.
