No shocker, they exist.
A shop owner that was really close to guys at the old Samick factory over here almost snagged me a "2nd" model that was in a warehouse backroom, but things didn't work out. Glad I saved up for a proper Ric.

I can imagine it being way too dark for common 12 string applications. For prog rock it'd be sick.

I agree with all of this. I've never seen one before. i can't say I'm in love but I like the oddity of it.
