That's the sort of custom colour that is going to be going for $1,800 easy, maybe more like the sort of money the dealers are asking for the more common LPB and CAR ones. I can imagine it going for $2,500.

I wonder a bit about how nice these would have looked when new. Part of the appeal is obviously the vintage mojo, but the softening and fading of the colours suits them so well.

Yeah, that aged Sherwood Green is the nicest looking Coronado I've seen. Sherwoood has always been my favorite Fender color. I'm probably going to refin my 69 Maverick in it at some point.

I can't imagine them making that guitar in sherwood....I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a really heavily aged lpb or otm or whatever the blue color that coronados came in was.

sherwood doesn't appear to be on the '66 colour chart, so it could be a faded teal green metallic or something...

i haven't seen fiesta red or foam green coronados but i've seen pretty much all the other custom colours from that time.

Likewise that Inca Silver XII I mentioned would likely be Firemist Silver, I was just guessing with Inca.

Does the White II have black f hole binding that wouldn't show up in photos like that? I'm guessing it does but they could have left it off.

One day I hope to get a Coronado II. I love Fender's oddball designs.

White XII - probably had a matching headstock originally.

Image

This one's unusual in that the pickups are mounted the wrong way around. Does the body routing allow that? Surely it's just someone has taking them off and replaced them upside down.
