that is actually one thing that I forgot to mention. At 300W it's also plenty loud enough, we barely take it above 3 on the volume dial loud. Heavy as all get out though, but that's bass amps for you.

Being somewhat old school I've always been a 15" man myself (ooer missus) but I can see the case for smaller speakers. All depends on what you want to do with it. Don't assume that a 15" is "bassy" whereas a 10" is "punchy" though. Lately I've spent some quality time with a GK 15" combo and there's tons of wallop in the upper mids and the low end is nice and tight but it won't exactly knock you backwards.
