Pfft, I'm not insinuating that playing gigs is cooler than playing at home, I'm pointing out the differences in potential strain between the two. Forgive me, Benny, my dahhhling.Mike wrote:Be gone with this elitism.Doog wrote:Gig them a lot, didya?
Besides, Mike, it's not like you've never used the "weekend warrior" before..
By the sounds of the guy's description, there's some top end drop off with the DOD, but cheers though, Fran. I actually looked into the Digitech a few days ago (the Synth Wah I used to have was great), but it's got them blasted trails, grrr.Fran wrote:My DOD PDS does'nt oscillate, not sure if the other models did like the DFX9. You'd need one of them 9v converter wires for one though.
Also, have you considered the Digitech Digidelay? They got good reviews at the time and the one my friend had seemed to do most things impressively.
*sigh* I'm not saying he's lying or bullshitting, I'm just saying his Ibanez pedals maybe weren't put under as much duress as the people who've had them fail consistently.Mike wrote:It's Tim, he's hardly going to be spinning you a yarn about the pedal.
You fail me Doog. Consistently.
There was an issue with the very first run of the switches on the Tone-lok pedals, but all fixed now, apparently. With the DE7, we're getting into "if it breaks, spend รยฃ25 on another" territory.
Admittedly, this is no use when you're on stage in the Dog and Duck. Luckily for me, I've never had any issues when posing in front of the mirror waving to my imaginary fans.

No way I'd play a Tonelok. When I gig at the St Louis Amphitheater the pigeon poo will slide right down those pot shafts. With the pots either flush or out the pedal that's gonna cause me some grief; probably suck tone.
Sorry, it might be okay for you playing in front of your mirror but some of us play serious gigs where birds shit everywhere.

So, this is how Rushdie felt.
This is pretty much the best mental image I've harboured since the whole Josh-playlist thing.benecol wrote:Luckily for me, I've never had any issues when posing in front of the mirror waving to my imaginary fans.
