I don't get why Jagmaster don't have an optional Jag style trem. They would sell like crazy!

If the Jagmaster had a Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge itâ€™d cannibalize the Fender sales. Plus, itâ€™s to keep the cost down.

I'm getting really pissed off with the tuners now.

As mentioned above, the Kluson copies came with the wrong bushings (about a mm too big for the holes!)

Even if they did fit, they're slightly too far apart to share a screw each.

Any recommendations?

Use a larger screw. Had the same problem when I installed gotoh locking tuners on my Jagmaster. I used a larger screw that filled the gaps.

Thanks for your help! I'll buy from StewMac if I have to, but if I can get a UK supplier it'd be better.

The bushings that came with the tuners are 10.5mm, and slightly too large for the holes on the Squier.

Those are the ones. I recall the same thing happening to me. I ordered the 10.5mm and they were too large. Those should work for you.

I'll going to block the trem soon.

Strip the body down, and crudely refinish it. Blue, I think.

Also fitting a switch to split the humbuckers.

Buying the conversion bushings to put better tuners on.

And, on a purely cosmetic basis... change the vol/tone knobs? Mustang style?

not sure how i missed this before, but this is probably the most bad ass jagmaster ever.

and MikeG: what color are you doing the guard? my vote (because of the knob placement) is jaguar knobs (either black or white/cream).

They Elvis Costello'ed it out. Looks Hot! Love teh Kurtz switch. Hate the extra space around the pickups.

Planning on keeping the pickguard as it is! Hard to come by, so it seems! Already put a bit of effort into cutting the current one to fit the pickups. Besides, got to save some pounds for sorting out my Tele.

Good suggestions regarding the knobs!

I'm still a little surprised that I can't get 10mm conversion bushings in the UK! Shouldn't be too pricey to import from StewMac though.

I haven't finished the Jagmaster yet.

However, I've finally got my Tele the way I wanted it. It's a 2004 American Series, but I've changed a lot of the parts over time.

Took out one of the humbuckers from the Jagmaster, and swapped it for the Mean 90 I'd put in the neck of the Tele. It's also got the vintage style tuners I'd bought for the Jag, since it made more sense.

The Delta Tone arrangement really helps here.

Used to be chrome red. The wood stain is a bit darker than I'd planned, but I'm happy. The bridge I changed largely for cosmetic reasons. Not exactly essential.

Went back to the stock bridge pickup after trying a Quarter Pounder before, which didn't really work out.

It sounds a bit more resonant unplugged with the new bridge. Doubt there's much of a difference plugged in though!
